    Have you been interested in learning to play pickleball, but not sure where to start? This class is for you! Learn the fundamentals of Pickleball, including grip, stance, shot placement and official rules, from our certified coach. No experience necessary, just bring your enthusiasm! Limited spots only!

    We are pleased to share that intermediate and advanced pickleball lessons will be offered this Fall. Registration details will be posted in the August edition of Unison news.

    ** This class runs on Mondays during the scheduled dates **

    FEE:

    • Members / Super members - $120

    Non-refundable. Course credit may be requested up to 1 week before class start date.

     Drum Circle has been known to help older adults reduce tension, and anxiety, boost immune systems, increase energy, and Improve joint mobility, posture, and cardiovascular issues.

    Join to learn about the Indigenous way of drumming. "Traditional Hand Drum teachings and sacred songs. The varying beats represent the Heartbeat of Mother Earth. Healing vibrations with understanding the spirit through this Good Medicine" 

    Learn about the teachings behind Traditional Hand Drum songs from a new perspective. Passed from her mentors. Respect for the Hand drum is to be in a clean and sober state of mind. All are welcome to participate.

     African Djembe Drumming Sessions (New)

    Experience the energy and tradition of West African drumming. In each one-hour session, Trudy guides participants through authentic rhythms from Guinea, building full musical arrangements using polyrhythms, call-and-response techniques, and cultural storytelling. Djembes are provided, and beginners are warmly welcomed.

    Dates: Thursdays, September 17, September 24, and October 1

    Time: 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

    Location: Kerby Centre Wellness Centre, Room 317

    Fee: Members: $70 | non-members: $105
